Different Uses of Vinyl in Window Graphics.

Automobile window graphics are increasing produced using perforated vinyl.

Vinyl is the material most often used for window graphics. There are, however, different types of vinyl with various qualities that can be used to match a particular application. The three main types of vinyl used in commercial applications are solid vinyl banners or displays, perforated vinyl, and adhesive printed decals.

Automobile window graphics are increasing produced using perforated vinyl. When used with a vehicle wrap they can be used to cover even the windows, creating an image that covers the entire vehicle seamlessly. Perforated vinyl counts on the human eye to fill in the missing parts of the picture. From the outside, the eye completes the image of the desired graphic. From the inside, the eye is able to see everything outside.

One very common use for solid vinyl banners and displays is in the announcement and promotion of special sales and events. These banners are very durable and can be used again and again. Other advantages of solid vinyl banners are that they are fairly inexpensive, easy to install and remove, and can usually produced very quickly.

Vinyl decals are the third type of vinyl most often used for window displays. Often these are comprised of only a single graphic and are used as company signage. Adhesive vinyl decals are usually installed by a professional so that they are level and give the right image to the customer.
